Two Abington Seniors Send a Message: ‘Stay Home, Stay Safe’

This short, interview-based video was produced by Abington High School senior Emily Christian for her Journalism and Digital Production class. Christian’s video “highlights the specific safety precautions the Trucchi’s Supermarket in Abington has taken to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus,” according to her YouTube channel.

Abington senior Erin McDermott, one of the interviewees in this video, is a customer service associate at the Trucchi’s Supermarket in Abington. Although not in school during the COVID shutdown, McDermott is leaving home in order to work.

The video interview, done remotely due to the coronavirus, also features Mr. Ken Coyle, the buyer at Trucchi’s in Abington where McDermott works.

Christian and McDermott’s video”Stay Home, Stay Safe” was produced on April 21, 2020, the same day that Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker announced that all Massachusetts students would not be returning to school this year.
