The Green Wave Gazette

Amaya Turner
Amaya Turner (Class of 2023) joined the Green Wave Gazette staff her freshman year. This is her second year, and she has moved up from Staff Writer to Copy Editor. In the 2019-2020 school year, Turner won three “Best of SNO” awards for her articles titled “Love is Love,” “Cirque du Soleil Dazzles Again,” and “Entering the World of Journalism and Politics.” She also won first place in the High School Division for the “Humans of Dementia” story-telling contest. Turner has always loved writing since she was little. She hopes to continue scribbling down fictional stories in her spare time, and reporting real stories in her school time.
