Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Cheerleaders Unite
in Disney’s “High School Musical on Stage”
The Abington High School Drama Club will present Disney’s “High School Musical on Stage” at the Frolio Auditorium Thursday and Friday March 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 11 at 2:00 p.m. It will be the last time the drama club and advisor Mr. Shannon will present a musical at the historic venue because next year’s drama club offerings will be held in Abington Public School’s brand new auditorium.
Disney’s “High School Musical” is a high energy show full of dancing, drama, basketball and romance. In this depiction of high school drama, all the classic cliques cross the aisle and break through boundaries to get it together before the curtain falls. The show promises to deliver all the songs and characters that so many have become familiar and fond of. The jocks, brainiacs, thespians and cheerleaders will perform well known numbers like “Start of Something New,” “Get’cha Head in the Game,” “Bop to the Top” and “We’re All in This Together” to name a few.
