“The Junior Class Auction took place on December 4th, and it was a huge success! We are so grateful for all of the businesses and families who donated, as well as anyone who volunteered to make this event a success. Our class will continue to hold fundraising events to prepare for our Junior Prom! Be on the lookout for information about ways you can help and Prom updates!” – Vangie McCleary, Junior Class President
“Before Thanksgiving break, we had a very successful pep rally on Wednesday, November 26th. Each class had their own theme – Festive Freshman, Sophomore Slumber, Junior Jungle and Senior Superheroes. Students stayed after school Monday, November 17th and Tuesday, November 18th to help prepare for the pep rally and decorate the foreign language hall and rotunda in our theme! Decorations included streamers, posters, counting sheep, balloons, and A LOT of stars! At the pep rally the Sophomores were decked out in their class T-shirts and pajama pants. Thanks to all the students that stayed Wednesday, November 26th to help take the decorations down.
The Juniors and Seniors had their annual powderpuff game on Tuesday, November 25th where Callie Phillips, Bella Affsa, and I held a bake sale for our class, while Tate Eriksen helped move chains during the game. So far this year, we have made over $500 dollars. We are excited to share that we will be hosting a second annual Trivia Night on December 18th, from 6-8 p.m. in the middle school cafeteria. Everyone who attends will automatically be entered to win a Ben and Jerry’s gift card! Each member of the winning trivia team will receive a $20 Dunkin gift card. More details to come, so make sure you check your emails and the class Instagram (@abingtonclassof2028)!”
