Abington High School has a very strong athletic program. Although the Covid-19 pandemic has modified and cancelled some seasons, there are sports still able to happen, such as basketball and hockey.
Athletic Director Peter Serino, Athletic Trainer Alicia Reid and multiple coaches are working hard to give AHS students the opportunity to play sports while still following all the Covid-19 guidelines.
In a recent email, Serino said “Today is the last day to register for winter sports. Traditionally, we [the Athletic Department] can take registrations right up until tryouts start, but due to a variety of circumstances dictated by the pandemic, we can not do that.”
