A rainy but memorable night for Abington prom goers

On Friday, March 29, the Abington High School junior class held their Great Gatsby themed junior prom at the Canoe Club Ballroom in West Bridgewater.

Prior to the prom, there was a Grand March at the High School at 4 PM. Students entered the auditorium and walked up to the stage, where they took pictures and allowed everyone to see their dresses and suits.

After the Grand March, students, their families and guests then gathered in Abington’s Middle and High School cafeterias to take more pictures before getting on the coach buses that brought them to the venue.

Once at the venue, students ate a dinner of chicken broccoli and ziti, pasta with marinara sauce, chicken parmesan, green beans, and rolls. For dessert, students could choose from a table of different chocolates.

All night, students danced to the music of the DJ that was present and had a blast. Cam Curney, the Green Wave Gazette’s managing editor, and Mikayla Littman were crowned as the prom king and queen. The Court was Shaam Naser, Sam Johnson, Izzy Meile, Keriann Dennehy, Will Klein, Jarib Cole, and Jonathan Aiello.
