On Friday, Nov. 16, the week ended with many students wearing not green but blue. This was the second day of Spirit Week and the theme was “Color for a Cause.” Students, faculty, and staff wore blue to show support of the Abington Police Department.

In addition, the Student Athletic Advisory Counsel (SAAC) sponsored a breakfast for APD in the high school cafeteria from 7;30-9:00. The event was overseen by the SAAC president Kristyanna Remillard, ’19.

In an email to staff, Mr. Serino, AHS Athletic Director, stated this event was “to express their [students] appreciation for the police department.” Many in the Green Wave community stopped by for a cup of coffee or cocoa and to thank the officers for their work with the school.
