Whether you depend on coffee, tea or hot chocolate to start your day, Dunkin’ Donuts is the go to place for three million people every day. I work at the Dunkin’ Donuts at 755 Main St., South Weymouth. This Dunkin’ Donuts is known as the busiest “Dunks” in the world. The first Dunkin’ Donuts was founded on Southern Artery in Quincy Massachusetts in 1950 by Bill Rosenberg. (It’s still there, near the Stop & Shop.) Today there are more than 11,000 Dunkin’ Donuts  restaurants in 50 countries.

Working at Dunkin’ Donuts is amazing. I have had three different jobs since I started working, and Dunkin’ Donuts is by far the most enjoyable. Working at the busiest Dunkin’ Donuts can be a challenge, whether it be the fast pace, or dealing with the few unhappy customers that come our way, there is always something new to overcome. But, it feels like family. I look forward to going to work and seeing my co-workers. We have good days and bad, but working in such a comforting environment makes work enjoyable.

Dunkin’ Donuts serves more than 1.7 billion cups of brewed hot and iced coffee each year globally. And Dunkin’ Donuts serves over 3 million customers each day.

There are many reasons why our store is the busiest, but here are two of my favorites. All bakery items are made fresh right on the property.  And, that is not true at most stores that have them shipped in from another location. And, the baker (Russ Glod) has been the same for over 30 years!

It’s family owned. The business has been passed down through the same family for a few generations. Currently, Lynne McLaughlin, Sharon Holdcraft and Carol Resnick are the owners and managers, and they took it over in 1998. I think it makes for a more comfortable feel for not only the employees, but for all of our regular customers too. So, if you’re looking for an enjoyable job where you make great tips and work with friendly people, then Dunkin’ Donuts is the place for you!
