Girls Soccer Senior Night
The Girls Soccer team capped off their home season with a 3-0 win over Randolph, Tuesday night,October 28, under the lights at Memorial Field.
The girls celebrated Senior Night with their teammates, parents and even their opponents. The also raised awareness for jthe fight against breast cancer by wearing pink and selling specially designed Green Wave t-shirts.
There are 10 seniors on the team this year. They are: Victoria Chiocchio, Victoria Curtin, Brianna Donovan, Molly Ferguson, Meaghan Golden, Sydney Hamilton, Christina Howe, Caroline Martel, Morgan McCann and Kimberly Reid. Each was recognized for their efforts by Coach Kate Casey. Two of them (Christina Howe and Victoria Curtin) managed to score their first ever varsity goals as Coach Casey moved the normally defensive minded duo into the offensive zone. Howe’s goal proved to be the game winner. sophomore Ashli Roberts scored the other goal.
The entire senior contingent was removed from the game with about six minutes to go in a classy move that allowed them to receive their final tribute.
