The Abington Girls’ Varsity Cross Country team has pulled off yet another outstanding season. The girls pushed their limits to achieve the title of South Shore League Tobin Division champions. This season, both experienced runners and newcomers have improved immensely and set impressive personal records. Cross country is not a sport that gets lots of attention in Abington, yet the girls continue to succeed.  

The Abington Boys’ Varsity Cross Country team also had a great season. The talented athletes accomplished a lot this year. They have proved their dedication to the sport by representing Abington in their meets. The boys unfortunately have not won any titles this year. Nevertheless, their accomplishments should not be taken lightly because the boys’ cross country program will continue to thrive.  

The cross country teams will be traveling to Wrentham on Saturday, November 9th to compete in the MIAA Division 3 Cross Country Championship. The first race is currently scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM. Show your support for the Abington Cross Country program by showing up to cheer them on. Good luck to the girls’ and boys’ teams this weekend.
