Almost Monday is an indie pop band that brings a soulful and personal Southern California spirit to their music. With lively and danceable rhythms, the band connects with its fans through relatable lyrics and a fun vibe. Their music career took off significantly after the pandemic in 2020, but the band has been creating songs since 2015. The members met in high school and shared a common passion for music, leading them to write songs and perform at local venues. Over time, they gained recognition and captivated their audience through electrifying performances.
The group continued to develop their style and had the brilliant idea of posting their songs on YouTube, which helped them connect with a wider audience beyond their local scene. After building their fame both online and locally, the band embarked on their first tour in 2019, spreading their music to several cities across the United States and solidifying their presence in the music industry. Almost Monday was influenced by several bands and artists, including Two Door Cinema Club, Foster the People, and Phoenix. Their music features a blend of electronic elements and rock, creating a wide pop sound with authenticity and creativity.
Their debut EP, “Don’t Say You’re Ordinary,” released in early 2020, included the single “Broken People,” which marked the beginning of their rise in the music world by reaching the top 20 on alternative radio and accumulating 32 million streams. As they continued to produce new EPs, they grew artistically. Their second EP, released in 2021, featured songs like “Sunburn” and “Cool Enough,” which embody a more mature sound while still maintaining their signature upbeat and catchy style.
Currently, Almost Monday is conquering an incredible variety of fans and reaching even more people around the world, with their influence growing stronger after their successful summer tour with AJR, which was well received by both critics and fans alike. Two of their most recent releases, the singles “Can’t Slow Down” and “Is It Too Late?”, have garnered significant attention. Their new album, “Dive,” released on September 25 by Hollywood Records, contains eleven tracks that deliver a “summer and youth vibe,” celebrating summer and beach culture with a retro touch of rock that evokes a sense of “coming of age.” This first full-length album follows their earlier EPs, and Almost Monday has been sharing their experiences around Europe, playing the songs from “Dive.” They said, “This is our first album. It’s almost a surreal experience because we’ve never done it before, and it’s a cool thing for us to achieve on tour. As the tour progresses, people start learning the songs and singing them back to us.” For those interested in enjoying indie pop and seeking a musical experience that will elevate their spirits, Almost Monday’s energetic songs will make your days sunnier and your memories unforgettable, bringing a bit of Southern California’s sunshine and warmth into every moment.
