Boston is Calling You This Weekend

A music festival you can take the train to

Boston Calling is a festival that is full of great music, comedy and food. It’s held twice each year, once in the spring and once in the fall. This year, the spring version will take place this weekend (May 27, 28 and 29) at City Hall Plaza in Boston.

People go for the great vibes, music and fun atmosphere. It’s definitely the festival to go to if you are looking to have a good time with friends, eat great food and listen to new and upcoming artists as well as some old classics. Three of the most celebrated acts are Sia, Disclosure and Elle King.

Sia

Topping the list of headliners for this year’s event is pop singer Sia. She started with music at a young age, releasing multiple albums without getting the recognition she perhaps deserved, until she released songs such as “Chandelier” and “Elastic Heart” from her 2014 album “1000 Forms of Fear.”

Elle King

Another artist performing at the festival that is particularly exciting is Elle King, an American singer. She is known for her hit song “Ex’s and Oh’s” from her album “Love Stuff” which was released last year. Her performances are often upbeat, so she is a great artist to play at a music festival. She is not currently touring in the U.S., but she is headlining at multiple music festivals this summer. King will be appearing at the Governor’s Ball Music Festival 2016 in New York, along with a few others.

Disclosure
Disclosure will be another big hit at Boston Calling. They have been in the media for a while, and they always give a great performance. They recently performed at the Coachella Music Festival in Palm Springs, California. Disclosure is two brothers, Howard and Guy Lawrence who make English electronic music. The brothers know how to get a crowd hyped and are sure to get everyone dancing around at the festival. Disclosure has been nominated for four Brit Awards and three Grammys for their albums. Disclosure is known for getting people up jumping around. They can often be found performing at music festivals or night clubs.
